Hook size is only a suggestion! If you have too many stitches on 10 cm = 4” switch to larger hook. If you have too few stitches on 10 cm = 4” switch to smaller hook.

Granny square is another classic crochet motif that works well for headbands. You can combine a row of small granny squares to create a classic round headband. Or you can do something like this model only has two granny squares and then a long chain for the rest of the headband.
