I designed it for the campaign last year and I really liked the crochet technique and points that make up the design and texture of the hat. I liked it so much that I made a diamond design for last year’s Christmas crochet sock pattern. Then, after completing the diamond sock, I knew the design would be a big hat, but I just ran out of time to start and knit the crochet beret last winter. However, everything works as it should, right? He did. It was the perfect project for a mini-mystery crochet together.

This easy knit hat is a free crochet pattern and is available in a variety of sizes from babies to adults. I started a project working on a pair of magic rings, but you can easily knit a regular magic ring or start with chain-3 and floating stitches to join the first chain to form a ring.

There are other crochet hat patterns. If you are using different ropes or prefer a specific hook size, you will be able to find some other options on my website for free.

Size U.S. F/5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
